days with jaxon.

Jax and I spend allllll day together.

I am not saying I don't love it. because i do.

this kid has way too much personality, i don't know what to do with him half the time.

these pictures are horrible quality. i would love to get a new camera (Canon 7D), but I know that's still pretty far out of the picture.

jax loves to count things! it's so cute! but he usually likes to start at the number 6 for some reason, which i don't understand because he USED to be able to count to 10.

jax loves to go on walks and see "cascus". he'll say "momma go touch it". and i'll go touch it. he loves that it's "mean" and "poky". He's a pretty big weirdo, but i love him.

sticky hands! his new thing. this bothers him. once again, sorry for the horrid picture quality. yuck, i can hardly stand it.

these look the worst of all , but i love these pictures of him with andrew.
sweet men.

p.s. THANK YOU to everyone who gave me tips about jaxon's eczema.
we have been using hydrocortizone on it and it's healing up pretty well. I think I'll switch laundry detergent, quit using fabric softener, and lather him up in really expensive lotion 25 times a day. I didn't realize eczema was so common! I've never seen it before!

ugh. my son has asthma AND eczema so far. bleh.

help.

jaxon has had this on his legs for probably a year now.
it hasn't been this bad of course, but theres been little red patches there for awhile now.
it hasn't been seeming to bug him at all.

but it bugs me.

what IS this??

we're thinking it could be eczema...
we went to wal-mart and asked them what would help eczema and they gave us eucerin.
it's not helping at all.

these two pics are of jax

and here's a pic i got when i googled "eczema"
its in the same place and looks the same..

jax isn't on medicaid anymore and we really can't afford the doc.
doctors are stupid and a waste of money anyway.
they rarely have any answers and charge us about a months worth of income.

anybody know any remedies for this WITHOUT having to involve the doctor?

thanks!

San Diego: Day Four {continued}

After leaving Sea World, our next destination was:
The old lighthouse at Point Loma.

This whole hill/mountain thing is owned by the military. I didn't really listen or read about all the details and I'm not huge into history, so I'm probably getting this wrong, but the main thing i got out of it was: they used this as a navy base? kind of, i think? and they used to use this old light house, well as a light house. but now , they don't use it anymore, they have another light house, down by the shore that we weren't allowed to go to.

it was such a pretty place, and I didn't really like that the military owns it, because they make stupid rules like making you pay before you can go in or closing it all up at 5 pm. We didn't follow either one of those rules, though. So, I guess the military isn't that bad.

I've always wanted to go up at the top of a lighthouse, and andy knows it.

you could go inside of it, even though the park was "closed" so you weren't supposed to. but there were other people in there, so we went too. yeah, we basically just do what everyone else does. I guess we're just kind of cool like that. haha.

But it you WEREN'T supposed to go in the very very top of it. It was blocked off. Andy turned back around and said "oh well". I was like, "uhh, no". We waited til everyone left, and I simply moved the little doorway thing that was blocking it, and yes, we did climb up into the top!

hot , glorious picture of us at the top of a lighthouse!!

Andy was worried the whole time. he doesn't like breaking rules, and I was wearing BRIGHT orange.

this is what we moved, and snuck up through.

but then, andy got all sorts of nervouse because he thought a ranger spotted us.
sure enough, it was a ranger. so we got out of there pretty darn quick.

the ranger told us we needed to leave now and that it was past closing hours. but we had already done what we wanted to by then! haha, take that ranger!!

then, not because i happen to love cemetaries, trees & ocean, but because it happened to be the next thing we came across after getting kicked out of the park, we stopped here!

love it. it was haunting. and beautiful.

but the sun was going down! we had to book it to "sunset cliffs" to watch the sunset.
luckily, it wasn't far.

then after there was no more sun to see, we left.

this is when andy started getting so smooth and tricky. and me, never thinking anything of it, of course. he stops here: at this quaint little flower shop.

i saw him buy the flowers, i saw him take them to our condo with us, we left the room together to go eat, then he pulled a quick one by saying he left something in the room and that he'd meet me at the car. I was like, ok whatever. I'm so clueless! He was doing this! for me!

and this is what I saw when we got back from dinner. he said he had to go to the computer lab to check our account and that he'd be up in a minute. here's me being clueless again!

i open the door..

he made me listen to a tape that told me in what order to open each individual gift. it was so sweet. there were a bunch of them and each had a cute reason of why he loves me. here are a couple. I LOVED IT!
i love sweet things like that and he knows it! he can always think of these sweet , romantic gift ideas. our first valentines day, he did a scavenger hunt for me all over the town in Logan, where I'd find meaningful gifts. and our first anniversary , he suprised me with a cute charm bracelet and a promise to give me a charm every year we're married that signifiies that year of our lives together. I love that! I have a sand dollar charm (from when we went to catalina on our honeymoon), a baby bootie with november's birthstone (for jax), and a temple charm (for getting sealed in the temple) . I can't wait to see what he comes up with this year.

and then i'm lame and give him a watch & sunglasses.

IT WAS A WONDERFUL V-DAY!
ohhh i wanna go back and do it all again!

San Diego: Day Four {Sea World}

Since I have SO many pictures for day 4, I'll break it up a bit.

Here we are at SEA WORLD!! Yeah, SEA WORLD!

We decided last minute to go, because we thought we'd regret it if we didn't. We were SO glad we decided to go! It was amazing!! We couldn't stop thinking about how Jax would LOVE it though. I'm trying to beg andy to let us go back sometime again this year!! progress on that- not lookin very good. Someday, we'll be that family that gets to go on awesome vacations like this every year. But i guess since we don't very often at all, this is a big big deal to us & we appreciate it even  more!

my fave:probably this silly walrus.

andy's fave: the white beluga whales.

andrew looks like he's wearing a retainer, and i look like i'm from some place in asia. yeah, we don't photograph so well, do we?

i loved this bird. this bird did not have the same feelings for me.  he liked to be close to the commotion of the people feeding the seals, but didn't want any attention drawn to himself. every time i'd inch a little closer, he would slowly inch away from me. is it alarming that i wasn't scared of a bird like this? i mean, look at that beak. that bird could have done some serious damage. but i thought he was so pretty sitting there like that, making his wings all fluffy and wispy, like an old mans beard.

this sea lion show was delightful.
and quite entertaining from start to finish.

jax loves these pictures.
aw, I wish he could have been there!

these flamingos made me happy.

piranhas. (spellling?) these were SO scary. they would just sit there like that in the tank, looking like they were waiting to attack. FREA-KY.

a cool tree which i guess is commonplace in southern california. hey, i like trees ok?

by far andy's favorite part. he loves sharks, just ask him.
actually you know who really does love sharks? jaxon. he's obsessed. he loves to sit and stare at this picture and say "mean mouth". I don't know how he'd react in real life if he saw this. It would be fun to find out though.

ahh, more of these lovelies.

yuck. i can still remember their slimy skin. i touched it once, just to say i had touched a stingray.

ok , here's a funny story: if you ever get the chance ,  ask andy how to say this word below.
he'll get so mad. it's so funny too.
he says it all wrong. he says "shaw-mu"
i'm so mean and horrible , i know!!

now THIS was exciting! We had only seen this stuff in pictures.

we were in the "splash zone", but luckily we did not get wet. at all. which was good because i was NOT going to put my camera away.  not during a time like this.

shamu show!

crazy stuff.

and again, i could not stop thinking of jaxon.

Sea world was the greatest.

but we had to leave a little early so we could make it to the lighthouse by sunset...

Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
