Our Second "Honeymoon"

HA! Andrew is so funny. This morning we woke up and he suggested we go on a "2nd honeymoon". Cute- huh?? I think he forgot we had a child for a second because he wanted to go the Grand Canyon (4 hour drive) and stay over night in a hotel. That did sound all fine and dandy until we thought of how it would be with Jaxon. Then we both decided it didn't sound fun anymore. Sad! We love Jax, he's just not the kind of guy you wanna go on a last minute spur of the moment long drive with. So, then we thought...hmmm...maybe Bryce Canyon? That's 2 hours and 46 minutes away. No, still not close enough if we factor in the Jax. So....we decided to go to "Red Cliffs". It's maybe 20 minutes away. Much more do-able. Someday I would love to see the Grand Canyon. Andrew gets major points for the thought though. So cute how he said "2nd honeymoon".

Andrew made his famous "Peach Cobbler" with a whoppin 3 ingredients. It's delish though. Jax & I played in the little stream. Jax wasn't a fan at first but I changed that quickly. No child of mine is afraid of water, dangit! Even if it is freeeezing. No, it wasn't that bad. We had fun. What a happy "2nd Honeymoon"!

Jaxon got absolutely filthy. Eventually we had to strip him down to the diaper.

Jax is infatuated with stairs. He loves to go up and down. and up. and down. and up. and down.

Andrew took this, and I like it. See any resemblence??

This is why we didn't dare take a trip any further. Can you say nap time?

A Forever Family

We did it! We got sealed!! It's all over with, and I'm a little (ok, a lot) relieved! No, I don't have the pictures yet. You're going to have to wait until I get them back from my photographer! (I can't wait to see them! Thanks, Kim) ANYWAY....the whole experience was scary, weird, and very different. I'm not gonna lie about it. But I am very glad that we are now sealed as a family. That's what's most important. I might get used to the rest later. The inside of the temple is AWESOME! It is so pretty!! I am so glad I finally got to see it. The actual sealing was beautiful. It's just amazing to me to know now that we can be together forever! wahoo! I'm so grateful to have the gospel in my life giving me the opportunity to progress and become a forever family. What a blessing. Andrew is the best and I am so glad I get to be with him forever. Same with Jaxon (when he's not pulling one of his little tantrums). It was a great day. A Special Thanks to all our Family that came to this (we just kept it small and simple and invited mostly immediate family.) We appreciate all the support we recieved from everyone! All of Andrew's siblings were able to make it. (He is the youngest of 7) It was really cool to have them all there and be together! We got a big Talbot family picture. Can't wait to see them!!! Well, just thought I would let everyone know that I lived through it, and yes it was scary and I was SOOOO nervous, but I am glad we did it cause it is the most important thing we can do in this life!! The end.

I love this guy right here:

He is so FLIPPIN AMAZING!

He actually gives me chills.
I don't care if he's gay. (is he??)

if you haven't already, listen to his version of "Ring of Fire". You might pee your pants.

Getting Ready to go here...

This week....

This week has been interesting.

Here are some of the random things we have done....

I made easter egg wreath with my friends from our ward! It was way fun! Thanks, Shaylah!
(mine is the yellow one)

I am strictly a "word game" person. Things with numbers usually don't appeal to me. That's why I've never even been remotely interessted in Sudoku. But this old guy at work always does them and I thought, hey maybe I'll try that. Holy cow!! It's not easy! And it's addicting! I completed (yes, correctly) my first ever SUDOKU game. I usually don't obsess about things. Not important things anyway. But when I have it in my mind to do something, I do it dangit! Even though it took 6 tries, many tears & much heartache, I FINALLY finished a whole Soduku square.

Jax+pen+wall. It was the first time these 3 things have ever come in contact with eachother.

We had a St. Patricks Day "Green Dinner." Yes, even the chicken is green!!

(I know, the quality of this picture is frightening. I tried fixing the "white balance". Apparently I won't be doing that again.)

I got to do a photoshoot with this cute guy right here!! There are many , many more on my photo blog. Oh! And I met a new friend! His mommy, Kim. She is sooooo awesome.

We bought this freaky ball for Jax, and he's petrified of it. It's SOOOOOO funny!
We took this cute family picture...
I got to do ANOTHER photoshoot with this same cutie. WOW- FUN!!!!! It was pretty much like heaven. I'm not done editing all of them yet, but here are a couple that I thought were pretty cute. MORE TO COME!!

And...that was our week!!!

"Kitly"

Here at the Talbot house (except for maybe Andrew because he's terribly allergic) want a Kitty!
Jaxon looooooves kitties. When he sees one he follows them around saying "Kitly, Kitly!" Don't ask me where the "L" came from. It's pretty much the cutest thing! I love that he loves cats. I love cats. Not kittens as much. Kittens require more work and stink a little. Cats take care of themselves and just sit there being awesome all day. But Jax would love a baby kitty.
We want a Kitty! Preferably a free one.
No, we are not allowed to have pets were we live. But we do have a fenced backyard. Couldn't we keep it back there? In a little pet carrier? And take him out to play?? Ooooh, I really want one.

Jax's first haircut

I know you all are thinking that this is way past due. And I bet some of you are thinking that this is a small form of abuse. I know- his hair was massively out of control, but I had the hardest time admitting it. I didn't wanna cut it!! Its just so sad to me.
But...
it HAD to be done.....

Jaxon was a little less than thrilled about this whole procedure. And with our level of expertise, the "hair cut" lasted probably 16 times longer than a regular one should. But look- don't look too closely, you'll see how choppy and uneven it is- he finally looks like a little boy. No longer my wild baby. My little boy. (sob, sob.)
p.s. in the "before" pics, don't worry we were just messin around with a little hairspray. Jax didn't go out in public like that. Usually.
p.s.s if you really wanna see these up-close and personal, just click on them. They'll do just that.

Adorable Baby {D}

Here is a little preview of what I got to do yesterday!!!

This little man is SO adorable. He was pretty good
too. He just didn't really enjoy looking at me so much. Can you blame him? :)

He is the son of our buds: Kim & Cole! Thanks guys for making my day!

camping.

Every so often , we get these camping cravings. Andrew loves camping, and I like it for about 1 night. So, since it's warmin up, & we don't know how much longer Andrew will have weekends off, we packed up and headed for the hills. This is Silver Reef, up Leeds canyon. It was kind of cold that day, of course. The rest of the week had been very warm. But it wasn't freezing. Well, sorta. When night hit, we realized we did not have enough blankets. We basically froze our butts off for half the night, then oddly it warmed up. Jax slept nestled in-between us, and I'm pretty sure he was warm cause he was out like a lamp. We were so surprised at how good of a camper he is!!
It's way pretty. We had an awesome view from our camping spot. you can see all of Leeds, some of Hurricane & Laverkin.

Just for kicks & giggles, I brought my old digital "point and shoot" camera. Now I know how HUGE of a difference there is. It was driving me nuts. But I was able to edit some of these to look okay. I Just wanted to see if I could ever go back. Nope unless emergency calls for it, I'm hooked on my Rebel.
Here's Jax helping Dad set up camp. He's so helpful.
Our CAMP.
And our HAPPY CAMPER.
Dad teaching Jax the basics about fire.
There's the Handy-Andy doin what he does best.....everything.
Our camp-site was pretty awesome. There were these rocks on one side of us for Jax to climb on. He went up in that little crevice all by himself! cute.
Andrew made me cut the firewood!! Yeah right! I did it for about 1 minute until I realized how stinkin hard it was.
My cute Boysies.
our little "hike"
the pretty view at the end of our hike.
Boys will be Boys.....
Jax loved playing in the dirt. Yep, 100% boy!

Fun stuff! Glad to be back home where there are showers and mattresses!
Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
