Life Lessons

I have learned some valuable things in the past couple weeks.
#1

Ok where's this stuff been all my life? Wanna know the secret to good , fresh smelling clothes? FABRIC SOFTENER.
mmm...yum
(& don't get the cheapest kind. splurge, cause you deserve it.)
#2

Yeah, it happened. What you're thinking did indeed happen. Not to me, I would know better...maybe. Poor Andrew, he's had it rough the past couple weeks.
#3
Yeah, not the smartest thing I've ever done. It looked good, but man, the next day I was IN PAIN! My back, my belly, my ribs, even my legs hurt. I don't know how. Now I pity old ladies even more if that's what they're carrying around.

Annual Talbot Halloween Party!

Saturday night was the Talbot Halloween Party!
These parties are always a whole lotta fun, because my in-laws go all out.
Andrew & I have made it a tradition to do the cake walk every year. (I actually got the idea from my side of the fam). We make AWESOME cupcakes (scroll down), play scary music and have the kids walk around mini numbered pumpkins. we stop the music and call a number. the kid with that number gets to choose one of our AMAZING cupcakes.
Check these out!
Yeah. we rock!

These pictures are out of order. My new computer doesn't allow me to drag the pictures in the order I want. If I was in one of my obsessive moods right now, I'd figure out some time-wasting way to change it and make it all right again. But it's late, and I don't feel like it.
So, this order will have to do ya.
Do you know who this sexy man is?
Yeah that would be Andrew. We are "old people" this year.
Since I tease him about being born a 40 year old (his maturity level has always been way too high), I think he pulled this off pretty well.
Hahaha.
I'm so mean.
But doesn't he look awesome?!

Now skipping right on the party. (pics of me later)
Here are our cute neices and nephews.

making candy necklaces.

Lizzie.

A candid of the old Andy man chomping down on a carmeled apple.

Our famous CAKE WALK!

If you were wondering, YES that is Jaxon. And YES, he is a pink bunny.
I have an explanation, hold on.
He is the Energizer bunny. He refuses to wear the sunglasses and drum. Little stinker.
So he had to go the whole party looking like the kid on A Christmas Story.
His fault, not mine.
Donut game.

Painting pumkins!

aww. who's that hottie?

cute arrek.
love the face.

Here's the Mom-in-law.
Her costume was AWESOME.
More about that a little later...

And that would be me.

And here's the happy couple.
Andy loved resting his head on my cantaloupes.
(My back is still sore from those babies!)

Now this could be the hottest picture ever taken of myself.
I'm out of words here.

And here she is again!
is that cool or what?

and tyson.

and the other bunny at the party...

I just couldn't leave this old man alone . he looked so good.

this picture belonged further up.
I am really frusturated about it.

cute emma.

And here's a great pic to finish off with!
Don't even ask what's going on here.
I love this.

What a blast we had!
I love HALLOWEEN!

Not cool

So.
I've been a patient girl.
I cut my hair all off what, about 4 months ago.
Yeah, it's not growing.
NOT GROWING.
It had its perks. I loved it.
Now I'm sick of it.
I wanna do my hair curly again.
I can't!

Dear Hair,
Please
come back
SOON!
i miss you.

My Studly Son

One day we decided to go on a walk.
a really , really long walk to the park.
its the park nearest to our house.
nearest meaning probably 1 mile.
both ways.
i have no idea what i was thinking.
by the end of it i thought i was going to die.
But
Jax loved it. and that's what matters.

This kid is the cutest.
I love this guy.

Pictures that make me smile

Each of these pictures probably deserves it's own special post and a long explanation. But to be quite honest, I've become a lazy blogger & let my random daily snapshots add up.

This makes me smile everytime I walk past it. Not only is it because I have the stinkin cutest kid in the whole entire world, BUT ALSO I made this frame. Well, kind of. I bought these frames ULTRA CHEAP at the DI for like $4 each. I painted them and sanded them! I wish I had a before picture so you could see how ugly they were! I am so proud of myself! He He!

My Mom gave us a bunch of apples. I did not know what to do with them. I tried arranging them creatively in a bowl on my table. I guess I could have looked up a good recipe involving lots of green apples. But what sounded the most fun, was taking pictures of them! They are so pretty and fall-y!

I love when Jaxon wants to color. He loves colors. We've been trying to teach him the different colors, but he's not quite getting it yet. He loves to ask "whats colors that?" He's so cute. He sees a color and says "blue red". I love this guy.

We're also trying to figure out if he's right handed or left handed.....he uses BOTH!

This didn't make me smile when it happened, but it's funny now. It's totally the scene everyday at mealtime here at the Talbot house.

My child DOESN'T eat.

He hates it.

I love these yellow bushes. These pictures were taken up at my Dads ranch.

Here's Jaxon after he had just woken up. He goes through this confused stage for like an hour. He has a rough time waking up.

Messy man. Love this.

Ok. I love these shoes. So much. They make me SOOO happy. $10 at Wal-mart. I kind of want to go buy more for when these get worn out.

Now this is just sweet.

There's a random post for ya!

Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
