Lately

Lately this poor little blog has not been getting the attention it's normally used to. It's been a whole week again! It's because I have been a busy, busy woman. No, I'm not a woman. Girl. I've been a busy girl. I've been doing a TON of photography, which has truly made me happy, but it's A LOT of work! We went up to Richfield where I did my brothers and my cousins senior pics!! I also did a few of my cute cousins too!

I didn't get many pictures of us up there just playing around, dangit. But here are some of Jax, Baga (Grandpa), and Zeus. Jax has such a blast there.

Smartie Pants

Jaxon, 19.5 months old.

Jax is getting so big. And I swear it happened overnight!! He's the cutest guy in the world.
Here are some of the cute things he does now:
(I don't wanna forget them!)
* He's really, REALLY into asking, "whass at?" (what's that?) He points to EVERYTHING and wants to know what it is. He's so curious and just wants to learn everything.
* He tries to mimic and repeat everything we say. He's getting pretty good at it too. We
really have to start watching what we say now!
*He remembers just about everything we teach him! His brain is like a little sponge, and it soaks up everything! He'll totally surprise me by pointing at something and saying what it is, when I could swear I only told him it once! Crazy, crazy smart guy.
*He says soooo many words, I can't even keep up anymore. When I ask him if he wants something, he'll say "K", and that means yes. He says "side" when he wants to go outside. He's learning what all the animals say. He says "Mew" for "moo". He says "Baga" for Grandma & Grandpa. And "Doggoc" for Hotdog. Just love it!
*He still loves Kitties. No matter where we are or what we are doing , I swear he spots a cat. (Or what he thinks looks like a cat). I was feeding him and he starts to say "Kitel, Kitel", I look around and sure enough, there was a little teeny tiny picture of an evil cat face on a firework box!
*He says "please" and "thank you". (Pitz, Kanku) He sometimes doesn't get WHEN to say them, but at least he is saying them!
*He understands what I say! If I tell him to go get a diaper, he will! If I say, clean up your toys, please, he will!! It's awesome!
I just love this stinky man who is growing up so fast! I am actually quite enjoying this stage of his life. It's nice to understand and be understood.
Now, if we could just get him potty-trained (haha, yeah I know), This would be the ideal age and he could stop growing up!

Happy Fathers Day!

Andrew is such a great Dad & husband. We are so thankful for everything he does around here! My life would suck without him. And yes, I did just quote that stupid Kelly Clarkson song, which actually has grown on me a little bit.

So, I stole this way cute idea from my friend, Kim. She had me take pics of her & her son with these cute signs, so I had her take some pics of us!! Love it!

Happy Fathers Day to my Dad too! Or "Baga" , as Jaxon would call him. You are wonderful, and we love you! Have a great day!!

A No X-box night!

The 'X-box wives' or should I say the 'X-box loathing wives' decided that they had had enough of it. The night after night of neverending, pointless X-box playing had to come to an end.

We had to take a stand. And we did.

Monday night, we decided to get the guys' butts off the stupid X-boxes, and do something better. Better for us, better for them (even though they don't know it), and better for the kids. We all have sons, and quite frankly, I don't want mine growing up playing X-box all the time.

So we went to Red Cliffs. Roasted some hot dogs. Had some family & friends time.

Not only that, we put those stinky guys to work:

Being productive. Gathering firewood.

And we let the boys... well, be boys. It's good for 'em.

I swear I heard this conversation take place!
haha yeah right!

WHAT??? DID WE HEAR THAT RIGHT?

us, as well as the boys were in completely and utter shock.

Oh, and this bird was a sneaky little guy, dodging my camera left and right. But in the end, I caught him. He knows he's pretty.

It was such a glorious night, that I was too busy having fun to pick up my camera for the remainder of it. We had dessert, watched the boys get filthy, then went back to Lloyd & Stephs house for some crazy games! And it was just that!!
Thanks wives, we'll have to do that again sometime. And the sooner the better!

For Daddy

Here's an early fathers day present for Andrew:
Cause I know he just loves when I do this to our son!

We got in!

So, I have to brag because I simply cannot hold it in any longer (since I found out a whole 20 minutes ago!)

I feel like we were finally cut a break, and this is why:

We got into the low-income townhomes!! Yay!

We have tried countless times to get into subsidized housing, only to barely not make it. Well, this time it wasn't hard at all! We got in like a week later!

Did I say YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!?

So...

WE WILL BE MOVING!
On July 16th!
Into a waaaaay nicer place, WITH a 2 car garage!
For waaaaaaaay cheaper rent!

Yes! I am so glad these exist for people who need them. It lifts such a burden off our shoulders to not have to be constantly worrying about paying rent every month! Now, if we can just get Andrew through school for the next couple of years, everything will be fine and dandy!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

My new addiction

I love this stuff lately. It's so delicious. I will have like 5 a day! Yum. Is it good for me? I don't know. Gotta be better than candy and pop.

I never liked these as a kid. Now I am realizing what spoiled brat of a kid I was! I didn't like much of anything! Now I appreciate almost all food. I guess things like that change when you start paying for it yourself.

Kolob Adventures

Saturday we went up to Kolob Mountain. It was my bro-in-laws birthday, so he had a little family get together. It is SOOOO pretty up there. Too bad it was so fetchin cold! I swear it got down to like 30 degrees. Yucky weather. But it was nice to get out.

THe kids found these nasty little caterpillar guys. Jax loved to watch the kids play with them but wasn't so sure about playing with them himself.

see Jax's head poking through there?

I thought this was pretty funny. Uncle Tyler took the kids for rides with his scooter. The kid carrier is tied to the scoother with rope. I wanna say redneck, but the scooter looks too nice. Maybe a city redneck, if those exist. No, I didn't let Jaxon ride, don't worry. Maybe next year!

Then we went fishing.
Here is a funny story:
Andrew loves to fish, but doesn't get to very much. The last time we went up to Kolob Res. was when we were first married. We decided to be cool and rebellious and fish without a license. Well , of course we got caught & landed our newly-wed butts with a nice $80 ticket to make for a memorable first camping trip. This time, we decided to just play it smart and buy a frickin fishing license which are $30! All went well, & Andrew actually caught a fish! Maybe the good luck came from being honest people and paying for the license! Well, yesterday (Monday), Andrew was reading through his little fishing manual and could hardly believe what he saw: Saturday, June 6th 2009, is FREE FISHING DAY. Everyone can fish for free that day! We happen to choose the one day out of the year that's free to all, to buy a license. Why didn't someone tell us that? Like, hmmm, I don't know, the people who sold him the stupid license that day! Wow. Isn't that ironic? We weren't too surprised cause seriously that's the luck we've had with eachother since day 1. Kind of funny, kind of sad.
Moving on...

Pretty lake.

First time fishing for Jax.

Me - pretending to be fishing, because I only wish I was that cool.

Wha?? We caught one!!!!

Jaxon was concerned.

Then excited.

Then wanting to give kisses cause that's what he does.

Proud Andy-man.

The lovely flowers. I was lucky enough to have an old man stop his truck and inform me that these blue flowers are the 2nd most poisonous plant in the world. Hmmmm....

Mommy-son Date

Lately I have been doing Photography stuff ALL THE TIME. I'm ashamed to say that, yes, I kind of have been neglecting my sweet little man bear. SO..I took a break & we went to "Twenty-five Main". If you are looking for a delicious & outrageously over-priced cupcake, GO THERE! It's like the coolest place ever. I can't even explain the style they've got going on there, but I am in love with it. It's sooo awesome! Well, Jax likes treats & so do I. So we enjoyed our expensive cupcakes together, and had a deep heart-to-heart conversation with eachother. Yeah..right. He oinked up the cupcake and was quickly whining for more. BUT, Luckily I was able to distract him with the birds. Yes, they have a bird cage in there. So cute and awesome. After prying him from the bird cage, we took a little stroll down main street. Oh, great times. I hope he had fun, and realized that Yes, I do still love him!

Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
