While in Richfield last week, we took family pictures! I don't know how I finally got my Dad to agree to it (He absolutely loathes the very thought of a camera pointed at him) . We decided that we should send some pictures to my brother Carson who is on a mission, since he doesn't have a family picture of us. Yes, I realize it would be better if he were actually in it, but what can you do? (I also REALLY REALLY needed some practice with my new tripod!)

Like always...I had a blast with these pictures! A special thanks to my Dad, for being a sport.

A Splendid Christmas time

We had an AWESOME Christmas time. Christmas day itself could have been perfect if it weren't for one minor detail...I worked ALL day. If we don't count that, it was GREAT! (Yeah, I know I'm a whiner, people work holidays all the time! But Christmas, c-mon!) Anyway, Christmas morning started bright and early at 6:30 AM (Thanks to Andrew, who so kindly set the alarm! Told ya he's a Christmas freak!) Jax was pretty confused about the whole event. He didn't know what to do with all of the presents! He even got sick of them! (Spoiled?) We opened so many great presents! Andrew surprised me with a bike! yay!! What a great time! Here are just a few pics......well maybe more.

Here's what it looked like when we walked in!! Andrew got up in the middle of the night, with out making as much as a peep, went over to his sisters house where the bike was hiding all this time, and snuck it under the tree! I can honestly say I had NO idea! I love surprises!

STOCKINGS

Oh the days when you can impress a child with a plastic ball from the dollar store. They won't last long.

In my stocking, I found a year pass to Zion!! Yes! I have been begging Andrew to go there, but it's expensive! Now we can go as many times as we want to this year!

Andrew found a massage gift card in his stocking! I stole the idea from him last year when he got me one.

Jax got some COOL toys! And TONS of them.

We are so thankful for all the fun stuff we got, and the morning together! Christmas with a baby is fun!

Alecia: a camera case, tons of pampered chef stuff, scrapbooking stuff, a bike, clothes, more scentsy, Zion pass, movies....

Jaxon: TOYS, TOYS, CLOTHES, TOYS!

Sorry if it seems like I am bragging, I am just so excited and thankful for the cool stuff we got.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was fun. Andrew got off work early and I didn't work at all. We went over to Andrew's parents house and had a big family dinner. It was great. Then Grandma (Andrew's Mom) read stories to all of us. And Andrew's Dad read Luke 2 from the Bible. Then the cousins had a gift exchange! Fun! After that we drove around and looked at lights. We went to the coolest house in Hurricane. It's hooked up with a radio station. So the lights flash with the music. It's the coolest thing!! What a great night!


Grandma & Grandpa have a train that goes around the tree. The kids love it.

Christmas Charisma

There are a few reasons why I married Andrew. Okay, maybe more than a few. But the most important reason would have to be his passion for the holidays. I love that about him. Right around the minute after Thanksgiving day ends, he's already getting excited and giddy about Christmas. He's just like a little kid. He brings so much fun in our home around the holidays!! I also really love this because this means I can buy tons of Christmas stuff and he isn't as mad as he would usually be if it were any other time of year. Andrew is ALL about TRADITION. He's all about the red and green, original Christmas songs & movies, & real Christmas trees. He loves christmas lights and decorating. One of his favorite decorations is the Christmas Village. It's something his Mom did every year when he was growing up. My family had never done it. So when I married him, he convinced me to buy a little christmas village. It's cute. We try to add to it every year. Andrew has all sorts of tradtions that must be followed for Christmas. His Peanut Butter cookies are one of them. He has made them every year for a long time I guess. They are pretty good too!

It was really hard to get a good picture of our tree! It really does look better in real life, unless you like fake ones or big bushy ones.
