Superbowl Sunday

I do not enjoy staring at a screen while pretending to know what's going on during a football game. I have done this in the past because sometimes there is good food involved. But this year I decided I wasn't gonna do it, not even for the famous commercials & half-time show, which can somewhat hold my attention. Sunday, I just let Andrew go do his thing with his buddies, while Jax & I had a superbowl of our own....

AND

This was the only football game I watched.....

We walked to the park to play a little "ball". Just because I don't like sports, doesn't mean I should deprive my child. It turns out Jaxon isn't a fan of football either. I made him hold this ball, but he wasn't too interested. nope.

Something else was more interesting....

He seriously stood in awe like this for 5 minutes straight.

There were some guys playing Basketball at the park. Jaxon saw them and couldn't take his eyes off of them, then going into a "ball!" "ball!" "ball!" frenzy! He walked over wanting to join their game. He was pretty mad at me when I wouldn't let him on the court. One of their balls rolled away & Jaxon ran to get it. They let him hold it. He just held onto that ball & watched their game. It was the cutest thing. He wants so bad to play it, but he doesn't quite understand that he's just not old enough yet. SO CUTE!

Andrew couldn't be more proud. He really wanted Jaxon to be most interested in Basketball, and it looks like his wish came true! I think we have a star basketball player in the making!
