Jaxon has been doing some amazing things lately and all at once! Andrew & I wondered when these things were going to start happening! They are so exciting! 2 days ago, Jaxon took his first real step. We were in the bishop's office and Jax was going from chair to Dad, from Dad to chair and while doing this, I don't think he even realized that he let go for one split second and took one single step all by himself! It was awesome! It hasn't happened again since then, so I'm pretty sure it just accidently happened, but it happened! This excites me and scares me. Jaxon is already a tornado....what's gonna happen when he starts walking?? yikes.
Another thing he is starting to do is giving things to us. He'll have something in his hand and reach out and try to give it to us. I usually take it and say "Thank You" to him with a big smile. This just makes his day. He thinks what he gave me just changed my world. He's so cute!
Today, I was hanging out with my friends Kate & Candace. (We went to the scrapbook expo, which was by the way, a blast!) When it was time to go, I told Jaxon to tell them "bye, bye", knowing that of course he wouldn't really do it, he never has. But, he did! He waved his little hand "bye, bye"! Andrew & I have been doing that for months with him, wondering when he'd finally learn to do it back! To make sure it wasn't just coincidence, we came home and showed Andrew!
Jaxon now shakes his head when he doesn't want something, finally likes to play peek-a-boo, and likes to take his binky out of his mouth and put it in mine! He's so silly!
One more thing.....Jaxon's first word! I'm gonna say that this was officially his first word, because to me, it sounded like he actually meant to say it. He said "kitty"! He loves cats. We were at Kate & Candace's and they have a cat. Jaxon followed this cat around saying "kitty", "kitty". We could all tell what he was saying! He really loved that cat. He has said other things before (or so I've thought it sounded like it). But today it seemed like it was on purpose! Yay for Jaxon!

How exciting! I love watching kids learn and grow...its so fun! I loved watching kelton learn how to walk. Even though he took his first steps while we were on our honeymoon. I think that is one of my favorite things that babies learn how to do.
I didnt know if you saw it on my facebook but we changed our blog address. Click on my link to find us! Sorry!
