Help a girl out.

First,
THANKS everyone for your sweet comments and excitement for me!!!!! yeeeee!!! this makes me pretty happy to know so many people care about us!!

ok
i have a question.

people have some things mixed up for sure. i often hear since i'm pregnant, now is the time i can eat whatever i want. but, since i have done this before, i know this is not true at all.  infact, its quite the opposite. anything i eat, will make me twice as fat as it would if i wasn't pregnant. does that makes sense? its midnight.
i reeeeeally have to watch it.
i know getting fat is inevitable during this process. i know i can't avoid that.
BUT can i NOT get sickly, morbidly HUGE? someone tell me i can do something to control this.
fortunately, so far, i am not as sick this time as i was with jax. but i am finding i can't eat large quantities like i used to without getting nauseous, and i get hungry every couple hours now.

i  am not a skinny girl. i was once, in high school. but even then, i was bigger than most other girls. i love to eat and i love junk and sweets.

tell me, what worked for you during pregnancy to not get OBESE? tell me, can i avoid it this time? with jax, i gained 52 lbs. i'm not really proud of that. lots of it was water, cause i retain it horribly. any advice on that??

i don't wanna be a fatty. except in the belly. my thighs and arms and face don't need to be huge.

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

your able to workout! with my first pregnancy i gained 60lbs with my second i only gained 35lbs. all i really did was watch what i eat. i had my sweet thooths indulge in them but don't over do it. you'll be surprised with how much you don't gain because you have jax to chase around. with your first pregnancy you didn't have to chase jax around because he wasn't there. but just increase your calories by 250 and if your nursing add another 250. are you planning on having another c section this time?

I never tried it but they say that water aerobics is supposed to work wonders. You should but some pregnancy workout videos. I know there has to be some out there. That way you can continue to stay fit for as long as possible and it will help with the birthing process later on.

drink lots of water! I know that sounds weird, but with both of my pregnancies, the more water I drank, the less I retained. (And yes, it also meant lots of extra trips to the bathroom). Also, I agree with your friend that suggested working out. Buy yourself a fun Pregnancy Workout DVD. That will not only help with the weight, but it will help with future pregnancy uncomfortableness. And also, if you're hungry every few hours, eat every few hours. Just do portion control and choose low-cal options. :) So excited for you!

ARE.YOU.KIDDING.ME!!!! Get fat! You're pregnant for crying out loud!! We'll work it off later!!! Pregnancy is rough and would be SO much worse if the sweet comfort of food wasn't there (can you tell I'm still working on my food relationship!) But seriously, don't even worry about it! Stay active and don't overdo it or anything...but really, I can't believe you're even worrying!

I walked! A ton! I only gained 32 lbs. and that was even with being on bed rest for 2 months. I at small meals all day long then I wouldn't over indulge! Congrats by the way that is so exciting!

My advice is a lot of what has already been written. Working out is key, if you can't do strenuous go walking as often as you can. And make sure you drink lots of water as well. Also, set yourself a time to not eat big portions or whatever after like 7. If you do need to eat, keep healthy food around. A lot of it is going to be mind over matter, I know its hard, but you can do it! Good luck, I'm so happy and excited for you!

I so feel your pain! I gained 50 lbs with my first too. If you figure out how to not gain unnecessary weight, let me know! :)

I gained 60 pounds when I was pregnant with Kelton. I am still trying to loose that weight. With Kynley I gained 29 pounds, I was SUPER sick (for 6 months) with her. Then ate whatever I wanted for the rest of the pregnancy. I lost 45 pounds after I had her. With this one I have been so worried about being huge and not being able to loose the weight so I have been eating smaller meals and not eating "for two" as they say. Because you only really need about 300 calories more a day. I would just say workout, eat healthy, and don't worry about it.

Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
