The Christmas Tree is almost a sacred event in our home. We are very opinionated when it comes to OUR Christmas Tree. We WILL NOT EVER get a fake one. Neither one of us grew up ever having a fake one, and until Andrew breaks his back in his old age, WE WILL NOT get a fake one. I don't know why it's so important to us, it just is. All of our friends have fakes though, so we do not discriminate. We love you all.
Andrew is very set on traditions. Christmas traditions. That's one thing I love about him. I love traditions. My family isn't really all that traditional, but now I'm deciding that I want to be traditional. It's great to grow up with traditions. It gives you something to get excited about each year! Tradition- we cut our Christmas tree the day after thanksgiving. (my family and his family does that too.) I am very particular about what Christmas tree will be in our house. I HATE those nasty crappy bush kind. I will not have one. Christmas trees are TREES , not bushes. I don't know how or when the confusion there started , but a tree needs to look like a tree. Ya know, shaped like a triangle. AND half of the fun is searching in the bitter cold for the best tree ever. preferrably not with a sick , ornery Jaxon, but what can ya do? Jaxon was sooooooo tired when we took him out to tree hunt with us. He was not having it. So, we just put him back in the car while we went alone. He didn't mind much, he was asleep after a couple minutes.

Here's our tree. We didnt cut that whole thing down. I'm pretty sure what we did do is illegal.
and that andy man carried that big ol' tree all by himself all the way back to the car.
We found a baby tree for Jax. I insisted on it. Jax was thoroughly entertained the WHOLE drive home. Saying "poky" and "kisses" and "kimiss tree".
jax loved to decorate the tree. he would put an "ormanent" on , then look at me and clap and say yay!
Andrew got reeeeal mad at me when I wanted to name the tree. It was hilarious. He was like seriously mad. I wanted Vikrom. He refuses to talk about it with me.

It is a perfect tree. I grew up with real ones, but I haven't minded my fake one since I've been married. Seeing yours makes me miss the hunt for a good tree though :) It looks GREAT!!!
ha ha ha!! You wanted to name the tree! That is so..well alecia like of you! ha ha- your tree is way cute. Next year we want to go cut ours down too. Looks like a lot of fun!
oh wow i love that tree. I'm all about the REAL. I never had a fake growing up either, but we aren't as cool as you either and go up to the mountains and cut our own tree. We usually do home depot. I love the snow pics..you need to take more pics in the snow!
Love your tree, and I think Vikrom was a nice name. :) Real trees are the best!! Jax looks so tall in these pictures, I can't believe it! What a cutie! You guys all look so great in your family pic in front of the Christmas tree.
