Annual Hansen Family Christmas Party

Now the fact that we even made it to this party is pretty much a miracle. Andrew, with his crazy fun work schedule NEVER has a day off. Nope, Never. So call me the mean wife I am, but I am SICK & TIRED of going to Richfield & to family things all by myself. And after my glorious Richfield trip experience that happened last time. (Did I not tell you about that? I went ALONE , well with jax to Richfield to do pictures last month and on the way back hit a bad blizzard and almost rolled the car. I am scared of snow and hate it deeply for this reason, and after that, no one can change my mind about it.) Anyway, I basically guilted Andrew into coming. It was on a Friday and Andrew works Tues-Fri 8am-5pm, then Fri-Mon 2am-1pm. It's torture. So we drove up to Richfield after he was off work, stayed at the party for a bit, then drove back at 11 that night so that he could be to work at 3am. SO FUN! I felt so bad for him. I am a horrible wife and person. But we didn't go the Halloween party this year, so I wasn't missing this. (Don't worry, I repaid him for doing this. I'm not that awful that there wasn't a reward involved.)

Jaxon loved it like I knew he would. There were tons of kids there (all my cousins. yep, I'm the oldest out of all of them.) AND Santa came! Jax wasn't quite as scared this time. He was a little cautious of him though. He loved to stare at Santa with his hands in his mouth.

I don't understand what's going on in this picture. My Mom looks like she is ready to vomit , and my Dad...well, who knows? He's gonna love this one of himself. In a few hours, I'll probably be getting a text from him tellling me to take this picture off of here. But he needs to learn his lesson with me and my camera. It's better just to let me do my thing and take pictures. Trying to cover your face or pull weird faces will not stop me from taking your picture. It will just make you look like the silly one. But I love you Dad, and look how much weight you have lost!

SO CUTE HUH?
Jax had to be front and center.

I don't think I've ever seen jax do this face. It's a little weird and doesn't really look like him.
he got a little toy ambulance. now when he plays with it, he says "santa". then he tells me stories about "santa's lap" and "what do you want for christmas?" then he'll say "basketball hoop". I have NO IDEA where he learned all of this!! well movies, maybe. but basketball hoop? I didn't even know he understood all of this! He's waaaay too smart and it's happening waaaay too fast.

Uncle Trevor.

When i pulled this picture up on my computer I thought it was a totally nice natural picture. Until I saw Andrew. He's looking at me! He always notices me and my annoying picture taking habit. I didn't know he was looking at me! It creeps me out a little!

Now this was CUTE! Santa calls all the kids up one by one to sit on his lap. He asks what they want and gives them a present.
When all the kids had been called and we thought he was done, he pulled one more present out of the bag and said "grandpa"
He didn't believe it. He had to come up and look at the present. He was such a sport though. He sat right down on santa's lap and they chatted for awhile. He even posed for a picture. What an awesome gramps. Wish he would teach my dad a thing or two about that!

After Santa called Jaxon, he then thought every present after that was for him. Jaxon has a hard time understanding that everything is NOT for him. He took a present out of Santas bag and Santa had to ask for it back. Now if you know Jaxon, you know that he is SUPER sensitive with well everyone but me. If anyone even acts like they are a little mad and that he could be in trouble, jax gets waaay butt hurt and pouts.
That is what is happening here:

YES! Grandma & Grandpa!
(my grandma & grandpa. jaxon's GREAT grandma & grandpa)

Cute Kayla (my cousin who is a year older than jax) was scared of santa like the whole time. When santa was ready to leave, she jumped up and gave him a hug. so cute!
And do you see that little bum crack?! love it!

jax gave hugs too.

if i don't keep track of my dad's weight loss through pictures, no one will.
way to go dad. I think he's lost like 80 lbs or something. I'll have to do before and after pics one of these times.

And this is where the pictures stop. We played some fun games and Jax ran around like a crazy, wild child the whole time without slowing down. I don't know how he does that.
