7 Quirks Tag

So I got tagged by Kim. Yay! This tag should be easy...I am so Quirky!

MY SILKY
Alright, for as long as I can remember, I have had my silky. It's this little piece of pink fabric (but when I was young I had them in all colors). Unlike a blanky, this is thinner and to me it felt like silk. It was (and yes, still is, one of my greatest comforts). I like to rub it in between my fingers. It usually calms me right down. Its very odd, yes. The funny thing is, is that my little brother who is 10 years younger than me, also LOVED the silky (yes, I shared with him). He would do the SAME thing with it. He liked to put it over his face and in his ears at bed time! The funnier thing is, is that my Jaxon is now addicted to the silky. It does magical things to him as well. He likes it over his face, it helps him sleep! So, at night (sometimes, I'm not as addicted as I once was) you will still find me alseep with my beloved old pink silky in hand!

DISORGANIZED
Yes, I will admit, I HATE to organize. Anything. My shoe closet is horrendous. My kitchen cupboards, even worse. The only thing I like to organize it maybe halloween candy. I would rather scrub 10 toilets a day than tackle my stupid cupboards! I know most girls do the organizing, and HAVE to have it that way. Not me.

SHOP TIL I DROP
I can outshop probably anyone. As long as we're not Grocery shopping. I love to shop. It will lift my mood or temporarily get rid of a cold if I shop. Better yet, I love to bargain shop. I only buy things on sale, and I feel so proud of myself. (even if I spent more than I should have, I had to, it was on sale!) Andrew really loves this about me (ha ha)

SILLY SONGS
I make up the most DORKY songs of all time. I have done this since I was like 10. I'll be somewhere, think of some weird words that are on my mind, stick it with a tune, and sha-bam, I've got a really stupid, CATCHY song. What I love, is that Andrew helps me with these songs. He'll help think of the perfect lyric to end my song, or match it with the perfect harmony. We have some songs we sing together and he harmonizes perfectly. We are the dork match made in heaven. We should make a CD. But mostly, he'll just roll his eyes when he hears a song in the making because he knows a few minutes later, it will be stuck in his head for the rest of the day.

PICTURES
I love taking pictures, and maybe too much for anyone's good really. I think I pretty much annoy everyone I am with because I am CONSTANTLY snapping them. But I JUST LOVE to. You NEED pictures in life. Yes, it is a necessity. There are only a handful of awesome people that don't mind this quirk of mine, one of them is she who tagged me! Kim, you are awesome! Someday, you will see, I WILL put my picture taking annoyance to good use.

SPELLING
I am by no means a genius. I did average in school, but here's my quirk. I CAN SPELL! I don't know why, it's just something I pay attention to. It's pretty obnoxious, actually. I am always correcting people. I hate bad spelling, it's like bad hygiene. I get it from my mom, who is also a freak that way. When I can't spell a word, it drives me nuts, and I WILL find out how to spell it.

I don't know if this is a quirk, but some people think my passion is odd. One of my passions is working with people with disabilities. I love LOVE love them. I think people just brush them off and don't even give them a chance in life. They are already labeled. But if you take time to get to know someone, you would be fascinated! I've worked a lot with people of all ages with all kinds of disabilities, and have REALLY made some strong relationships with them. One day, I would like to go back to my old job as a special Ed Teachers aide. It was the best job of my life (except being a mom, of course.)
