THREE.

(disclaimer: my one and only baby is 3. be prepared for some hardcore, obnoxious motherly bragging.)

My baby is 3! I have a freaking THREE year old!!! when did this happen??

Actually, I know exactly when it happened! It feels like he should be turning 10! is that horrible? since day 1 he's been quite a handful. But despite all of that, I sure do love him! I really can't imagine my life without that stinky little man. He might be a turd, but he is a pretty big sweetheart. We were very very blessed to get such a smart and healthy kid! Seriously, the kid doesn't get sick and he gets smarter everyday, Its CRAZY! He might be the only kid we ever have, so I'm trying to appreciate every little cute thing he does. I try to freeze the sweet moments I have with him, try to remember his face just the way it is now.

Here are some facts about Jax at age 3:

-He loves watching cartoons. He could do it all day, and would if we let him.

His favorites are : Mickey Mouse clubhouse, Special Agent Oso, Spongebob Squarepants, Sesame Street, and anything else that teaches him about numbers, colors, shapes.

-He does NOT enjoy eating, unless its candy. Getting him to eat anything (with the exception of Yogurt), is a chore. We have to sit him in his highchair so he can't get away, and spoon feed him each bite of whatever it is we're eating. We've tried everything. He's not a picky eater, he's just NOT AN EATER, PERIOD.

-He is pretty much potty trained! We had to go a couple days with NO candy to teach this, but it worked.

-He speaks in full sentences and says words like "either, almost, yet, too, just, still, favorite, last night, anymore, sure, lets, delicious, beautiful," and SOOOO many more, i can't keep track.

One of my favorite things is "Should we take a look?"

His favorite thing to ask me is "Mom, what do you want to do now?"

Yesterday he told me "but i still love you" and "you look beautiful"

-He understands about everything. I can talk to him like an adult, and he pretty much gets it.  Things are getting so fun, because he GETS whats going on. He was so excited for his birthday, he kept asking "is it my birthday yet?" He remembers how old he is, his favorite color, mine and Andrew's favorite color, and things that happened yesterday. I feel like his brain is just this big sponge and that i could teach him ANYTHING right now! too bad i don't have more motivation.

-But since he is so smart, he tries to play dumb to get out of things. I don't buy it though!

-He loves playing pretend. Its so cute. He has such an imagination. He'll use different voices and have his toys have conversations. He likes imitating animals and characters. He LOVES to play hide and seek, and is getting pretty good.

-He has manners. He'll say please and thank you without being asked, sometimes. That makes me very very very proud. One thing i CAN'T STAND are bratty, rude , obnoxious  kids.

-He likes animals and babies. Too bad we can't have either one!

-hmmmm i know there is more to tell about him...but i can't think..

-OH! he is pretty good about going to bed at 8pm. He rarely takes naps anymore, which is very very hard for me. But he'll go to bed at 8 and get up at about 8, and when he's up he'll do his own thing for awhile so I can sleep. That's one of my favorite parts about having a 3 yr old.
