Ok, I just got photoshop elements. This has been on my wish list for ages now.
So, now I have it. And it makes no sense. I get on it, and it's completely foreign. It's disheartening, really. I thought I would get on it, and produce all these jaw-dropping photos. Nope. Certainly not the case.
I wanna do that thing that makes the eyes bright and shiny and glistening.
Can't figure that one out. Tried but failed.
I wanna do that thing where everything is black and white with one little thing colored. Like a flower. Don't even know how to try that.
Sad. Poor me.
I am sure they write books on this stuff?? Photoshop elements for Dummies, maybe? Hopefully.
Maybe I'll go get that.
Right now I am so darn frusturated about it! Photoshop was supposed to be the greatest thing that ever happened. So much glee and satisfaction was supposed to come from it. But nope. I am a sad lost girl now. sob, sob.
Anyone understand photoshop elements??
If so, do share.
I feel a little better sharing that with you.

Oh... I remember those days. Thankfully I had teachers there to help me but so do you! There is so many tutorials online. Just type in "how to brighten eyes using Photoshop Elements" and it will come up with a load of vidoes and steps to do it. I am sure there are books out there too. You could keep your eye out for workshops too. I know it is overwhelming and sooooo frustrating, but you will soon figure some stuff out and it will seem so easy! You'll wonder why you used to be so stressed about it! Promise! I've never used Elements, but I am sure my photoshop is alike in some ways. So, call me with certain questions and I can maybe help figure things out. Oh and also, The Pioneer Woman has a lot of great tutorials and she sometimes breaks it down for elements too. Good luck!
I've had a hard time adjusting to elements as well. I know that there are tutorials on Youtube as well. IF I find anything better, I'll let you know! If you find anything great, let me know!
I just read something on doing that in photoshop...let me see if I can find it for you!
Oh sad...I hope you figure it out!
I would check online, or see if your local school as adult classes on it. They have them here. I took one, and learned a little. I know how to do the black and white with one thing color...but that's on photoshop, cause thats what we have. I know that elements is simular. hope you figure it out. Can't wait to see those jaw dropping pictures!!
Well I personally find Elements pretty useless...I have studied it inside and out and still find my favorite things are on the free sites, picasa , picnik etc. There is noooo blk/white and one item colored feature which made me mad..unless im retarded and can't find it but im pretty sure that isnt on there. I'm not sure what can make the eyes brighten and glisen but I'll just email you as to how you can possibly do it!
Also your too funny my lil colloges I do are all from Picasa Colloges if you want directions I can email you those as well. You already do an amazing job w/ your photos no need to worry if you don't catch on to elements right way.
Oh I know all about it. I thought it would be pretty easy too but it's a little overwhelming. I took a class at bridgerland from a lady named Emily Hobbs. She was a fantastic teacher! if you need some tips I might be able to help ya out;)
Sorry, can't help you there! I'm pretty much a dinosaur these days when it comes to anything techie! I'm sure you'll figure it out!
