WOW!!!!!
There's SOOOO much to fill you in on. Where to start?
So we are FINALLY settled into our place in St. George, but it has been quite the process. When we looked at the apartment it was filthy, BUT they promised us it would be cleaned and sanitized. We believed them. So, the day we moved down with all of our stuff in the U-haul, we had to sign the lease. We hadn't looked at the apartment again to make sure it was clean before we signed it, which was incredibly dumb on our part. We just assumed it would be clean and ready for us because that's what we were told. Wow, how wrong we were. We got in there and the carpet was NASTY! They had told us they were cleaned and sanitized. After walking on them barefoot, they would turn your feet black! There was cockroach poop in the drawers, cabinets, closets and under the fridge. The floors in the bathroom were coming up. The mirrors were dirty. The blinds were filthy. The screens were missing. It came with a washer and drier, so we put ours in Andrew's parent garage, and the drier didn't work! They got a new dishwasher and it wouldn't drain! There was no hot water, and the A/C wasn't working right!! On top of all that we were squishing cockroaches left and right! Wow, as if moving in with a baby isn't hard enough as it is, we DID NOT need all of this extra crap! Our landlord was being a real jerk about all of this when we told him. I called him that same day we signed the lease and told him I wanted out of the lease and I am not going to live here. He said from the minute we signed the lease, we were tied down for a year, and there was NO backing out. He told us he wouldn't put new carpet in and the bug problem would have to wait until Monday. YEAH RIGHT! I was freaking out! I hate bugs. So I called my Dad in tears telling him how awful it was, and he called our landlord and got someone to spray for bugs that day! We were still seeing bugs after that, so I went to Walmart and got some Raid and bug traps and went crazy with them all over the house. We are seeing less cockroaches now. As for the carpet, the carpet guy who cleaned it before said he isn't going to clean it again and that we need new carpet! Well DUH! So, we ended up getting new carpet yesterday. So, a week later, we were FINALLY able to unpack our stuff into the house. We wiped down every shelf, cupboard and closet with bleach water. I finally feel better about settling in, and letting Jaxon crawl on the floor now. It was ridiculous! We signed a year lease, so we are stuck there for awhile. But, now it is better and the conditions are livable.
As for jobs...Andrew is still looking. He has applied at many places. He has had some interviews, so we are still waiting to hear back from them.
I actually found a CNA job and worked for 2 days, until I decided I would rather cut my arm off then do work like that ever again. I can't stand nursing homes, I'm officially through with them. Too gross. Never again. So, now I am looking for a job again too.
And Jaxon. Jaxon is doing great. We have been putting him to bed at night, then we go in our room and turn on our fan so we can't hear him, and we sleep. We don't get up with him anymore. He needs to learn to sleep through, and I think he finally is!!! :) I couldn't be happier about that!
So that's an update. Our camera is still getting fixed, so sorry no pictures yet. I can't live much longer without it!!
All of these things aside, we are loving St.George and are SOOOOO glad to be back!! I'm really convinced that I never wanna leave Utah for indefinite amounts of time ever again! We love the mountains, and the desert, and the heat, and the blue sky and the wonderful sun!! We also love being back because we have some great friends here! Our friends Dustin and Felicia were so nice to help us move in. They are great and we are so thankful. Last night we hung out with our other friends, Lloyd and Stephanie and it was a blast to see them again! We are home at last!!

What a horrible mess! I can't believe you guys had to go through all that! Lesson learned about signing a contract before looking at it. Sheesh. I hope everything goes ok now. Good luck with the job finding and everything. What are you guys looking for? We have a friend who's brother lives down there and owns a cabinent shop or something like that. I'm glad Jaxon is sleeping better. That is the worst! I decided that Emrie has problems sleeping at night if her schedule is off during the day. Silly kiddos!
