I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!
Wow! Life in the South is a little bit different! Being born and raised in Utah, I failed to even consider the fact that there was life outside of it. I never thought about how people, scenery, or just life could be so different anywhere else. Well, I had a rude awakening yesterday when I was sitting at the computer minding my own business, when along came a crawly critter who wanted to join me. Yeah, I'm really not too big of a fan of cockroaches. Or any kind of insect. I would rather they stay away. Our apartment manager tried to warn me that I'll be seeing a lot of fun, new and interesting wildlife now! she said "You're in the south now" I was ecstatic! Aside from the nasty bug problems, the lack of mountains is definitely an issue that is overlooked. What the heck? There is no view anywhere. There is no way of knowing where you are. And to add to that crappy feature, there are only street names, not street numbers. So...if you don't have every street in Tennessee memorized and you are without a GPS you are pretty much screwed. You will be lost. Forever. In the trees. It's like one big neverending forest. One thing that I do like are the people. They are extra nice and caring. And their accents are lovely. A little hard to understand, but entertaining to listen to. Well, I'm sure there will be more to complain about when summer hits, like this wretched humidity I've heard so much about. Poor poor poor Utah girl...
