Wish list for da Baby...

After having a baby and knowing what sucks and what doesn't, knowing what you use and don't use, knowing what you love and wish you had more of ...

i made this little wish list.
it was fun.

Diaper Bag

This time around , I don't want a piece of crap diaper bag that i loathe using. i had a cheapo walmart one for jax, and i hated that thing! i don't really even know why. it just wasn't useful to me.
this time , i'd like something more along the lines of  this...

or this...
i like the straps on both , and the stylish-ness of both, and useful-ness of both.
Moms--tell me or SHOW me your favorite diaper bag! i need to know!

Of course i'd like to be stocked up on this stuff. The cream is better than the lotion, and i prefer johnson's to baby magic. my baby WILL smell like this at all times. and i'll want to eat him.

another great moisturizer that i really liked, was Aveeno. I discovered it when jax had his eczema problem. it's great stuff.

A Hooter Hider!

I am going to attempt breastfeeding again. The pros (healthy baby, FREE milk, shrinkage of uterus, burning of calories)  outweigh the cons (painful because baby sits on c-section scar, saggy boobs, milk leakage in the night and in the store and everywhere, Dad can't help feed in the night or EVER, inconvenient and a bit awkward if thought about for too long.)

Anyway, this magnificent invention makes breastfeeding seem not so...gross. i like it. and want it.

Diapers

I learned from my experiment child Jax, that cheapo wal-mart diapers just don't cut it for babies who eat every 3 hours. huggies and pampers are better made and shape to the baby, unlike the cheap brand. they hold more pee, therefore preventing the leaks that aren't super fun.

And these wipes. I love them! They are softer, thicker and smell sooooo good.

A Polaroid Camera

Okay, this is not for the baby, BUT i will take pictures of him with it! This is just on my wish list. i want it. ohhhh do i ever want it.

A High Chair

Jaxon's high chair was a big piece of hand-me-down crap. we got rid of it. then we traveled across the country with him, so we bought a booster seat high chair. well, this time i want a REAL high chair , and a nice one. I'm not a huge fan of it being lined with fabric, because we all know how nasty that gets.
this highchair looks cool...

and so does this one...
Mamas- again tell me, do you have a favorite high chair??

Bumbo
yes, i want one of these. but someone please tell me--have these been recalled? are they unsafe?? i've heard things..but i still like them.

A soft , luxurious, reclining chair.

Yes, I NEED one. And Yes, I'll deserve one. C-sections are so dang painful. I would have LOVED one of these with jax. all the late nights, & attempts at breastfeeding.

These lovely "Muslin" blankets are what i NEED! They are lightweight (perfect for an August baby)
and breathable.

And, I'm pretty sure that's what they're using for this pic, which i will do for Mason.

Car seat

Moms--tell me about your favorite car seat. what sucks and what doesn't? I love these colors, but i know nothing about the brand...

That's all i can think of. Tell me- what are you baby "must haves?" tell me! tell me! tell me!

cute list! Its so exciting to get ready for the arrival of your new little addition! I would also reccomend a bobby c pillow for nursing. It helps so so much with the pain of a c-section! Bent would kick and kick my incision until i would have tears running down my face. This saved my poor body. P.S. I got an extra hooter hider for Bent and havent used it...Its cute boy or girl colors. Let me know if you would like it and ill send it down!

You know we could make a bag... any purse looking diaper bags I saw were WAY expensive. I never really used a diaper bag with Kai, I did with Dax and hated it. I just used an over sized purse. I only used a diaper bag for babysitters. You know I have a bumbo with a tray...that we will not be using pretty soon. They were recalled when they first came out, but since then they re-designed it. A bumbo is an absolute must! I pretty much used that over a high chair. Ikea has some cheap, but durable non fabric cute high chairs. My mother in law has one, and I really like it. It doesn't fold down though... I also have that wooden high chair (not the antique one) I was going to use it for Kai, but never have. It sits in the corner of our kitchen with mail on it.

I loved the bumbo with Kynley. I am a huge fan of graco car seats, my sister in law had that same car seat that you have pictured and they hated it because they would be driving for a while and then all of the sudden it would finally decide to click in all the way. Also this time around my dr didn't do staples for my c section he did dis-solvable stitches and glue. It made the recovery about a hundred times better! So, I would ask your dr about it. use a boppy to nurse with too.

Love your list! Don't use a bumbo anywhere other than the floor and you're fine. The problem was with some silly parent who didn't follow this rule. Breastfeeding the 2nd time around is so much easier-you can do it! Hunter never caught on so I was sure that Noah wouldn't either, but he totally did... like for 10 months! You will do great Alecia!

I love your list. Breastfeeding can not be fun sometimes, but I breastfed Braeden for 13 months and there were hardships the whole way, but it was worth it. I am going to do a list like this and you can read it. I have a car seat that I got with a travel system, but the colors are getting to me...so I am recovering it with cute fabric that I picked out. I have a wish list too and a lot of things that I want to do. I hope you are getting so excited for your little one. I have gotten started getting things ready. I really dont want to do projects when I am huge and it is hot outside.

Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
