the reason.

This going private on & off stuff is obnoxious, I know.
I am annoying myself, so I can't even imagine how you are handling it.

ok, so here is the story of why I am for the moment, private:

I need a job. One that gives me regular income. I need a  job that will fit my schedule of being a Mom all day 5 days a week. We can't do daycare. Finding a job like that, or any job for that matter, isn't really very easy. I looked in the newspaper & nothin!  So..I checked craigslist. I found this PERFECT job. It was a nanny job & it paid crazy fantastically. $500 a week! I felt like maybe now , life could be great and easy! I would be watching a 3 year old, 5 days a week, 3 hours a day. that's it. Best part: Jaxon could be with me!

This guy I was e-mailing about it, never quite seemed right. He was a tad off. His spelling and use of words caught my attention right away. It wasn't that bad, but I notice things like that. He would ask me questions & I would answer him, then in the next e-mail he'd ask me the same questions. I gave him a resume & lots of info about me. (LUCKILY not my address, although he did ask for it.) Well, last e-mail he said he was impressed and said I got the job. No interview because he was "too busy" working in Hawaii. His son is supposedly living here with another nanny. Something else that alarmed me: He trusted me with his son without even meeting me. In his last e-mail he said he needed my address to send me a check, and that he was gonna send extra in it to pay for his son's other expenses and for me to give some of it to his other nanny. uhhh...now that's weird. too weird. Why can't he pay his "other nanny" separately?  and why would i need to pay for his son's "other expenses" ?

I never replied to his last e-mail.

So...yeah. I might be gullible and stupid and times, but I'm not that stupid. This dude is trying to scam me somehow. I just got all sorts of scared because I gave him my info. He knows my name, phone number, that i live in Washington , UT, my age, my son's name. I really really don't like that. He could search for me easy. So, then I googled my name. This blog came up! I have already taken this blog off of "google feed", meaning it SHOULD NOT be showing up on google.

I also have been watching scary movies and reading scary books so I'm a teensy bit more paranoid than usual. I just don't wanna put my child in danger. There are freaky people out there & and freaky things happening.

I'm not gonna lie. Private blogs drive me crazy. They really do. So, I don't know how long I'll be private. I'm just pretty scared about all this crap right now.

So, if you don't have a google account (MOM & DAD) , GET ONE! it's not that hard. its really not. it's free and you just type in your email & password.

so there's my story! moral of it: stay away from craigslist! yucky!

yeah, craigslist used to be okay and now its pretty scary. i know how you feel though. ugh. on my blog i never mention my real name or my family member's real names or where i live or anything. so many people have asked why i use "miss lucille" and that's why. cause i don't need no physchos stalking me.

good luck with everything. hope you find the right job for you. - if you are looking for a nannying job you should go through an agency. they make sure stuff like that doesn't happen and its free of charge. i can get you the info of the agency my friend used if you want. she nannied for 2 years in new york and had great experience with the agency. i'm sure they could find you a placement in ut close to where you're at...

Alecia that is WAY scary!! There are a lot of scams out there like that. What they do is send you that check and then tell you to put it in your account. You do and then you send them that money and later your bank realizes that the check isn't from a real bank and you end up having to pay for the whole amount. I am glad that you figured that out before it hurt you. Others have not been that lucky. My friend is still paying on something like this.

Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
