Last minute Richfield trip

Last Thursday, I made a very last minute decision. It was 5:30. Andrew was in class. I was bored and sick of listening to Jaxon whine. So....I threw some clothes a bag, jumped in the car and without hesitation , just left town. I had tried to call Andrew to tell him, but he was in class and of course not answering. By the time I hit Cedar City, I felt SOOOO bad for just leaving like that without even saying goodbye to Andrew. I tried to call him like 16 times. Finally he called when I was almost there! I felt so bad, I started crying!! Oh my gosh, I know I am crazy!

But....once we were there, it was fun and I was glad we had come.

Here is some of my wacky family....

My brother Trevor & cousin Caleb using those whopper eggs as lipstick.

This is my uncle Kevin. He'll be delighted to see I put this creepy picture on here. This just looks so cool!

Weston (my cousin) LOVES Jaxon. He played with him forever!! It was so nice!

And of course Zeus! We can't forget him! Jax loves this dog.

These have freaked me out eversince I was a kid. They are on the trees in the springtime. Eeew, I do not like them, but had to get a picture.

Last but not least, it was my brother Tanners Birthday! His favorite color is orange so we decided to get him all orange gifts. We got orange gum, orange chocolate, orange tic tacs, orange flip-flops, an orange, orange car fresheners, orange soda, & orange balloons. It was fun! Happy Birthday Tanner! He's 17! holy smokes!

It's Official

About 2 things are official:
1) Spring is here.
2) St. George is bomb.
I've never been a fan of springtime. Before you hate, I have my reasons.
Besides the fact that springtime plays with your head and your emotions, for example, you wake up to a beautiful sunny day, thinking "oh, maybe winter is gone". So you ditch your winter attire, and gleefully dash out into the sunlight, but only to be rudely decieved. It's not warm at all. It only looks warm. And that's why Spring is sort of bad. Or, you plan for a freezing day, because you thought you learned your lesson, only to be fooled again. It decides to warm up a lot, then you have to carry your jacket. Like carrying a purse and baby isn't enough. Or tie it around your waist, which went out in the 90's. If it's gonna be warm, be warm. Like summer. If it's gonna be cold, be cold. Like winter. But don't just be fickle and tricky. No one likes that.
But there are other factors to add to my dislike of the season.
Indeed, there are.
Such as:
1) I had a hugely, messy, awful, horrendous, break-up that happened in the springtime. I mean bad. Intense. We won't get into that.
2) Then the next spring, I was making crappy decisions, so crappy in-fact, that I landed myself 2 days into Jail. As if that wasn't bad enough, I had a seizure while there, fell off a my bunkbed and landed face-first on a concrete floor. I spent that spring with black-eyes and a goose egg. (That was my own fault ,I know, I know.)
3) The Spring after that I was married and pregnant. (my life is a rollercoaster) I had the absolute worst morning sickness in all of the spring months. Everything about Springtime made me sick.
4) The spring after that, we lived in Logan. Logan's Springtime is nothing to rave about. In-fact , it's quite dreadful. It shouldn't be called Spring. It's pretty much winter there all year. It snows in June. (Sorry, all you Loganites. Summer & fall are ok there!)
5) But, alas, this is where my hatred ends. This year, Spring has been divine. Pure delight. St. George's "winter" can barely pass for chilly. I was thinking, "is this it??" I could go barefoot in December. I kept waiting and waiting for it to get cold and feel like winter. Nope, didn't happen. And now it's warming up. March, 75 degrees. I'm tellin you, theres no better place on Earth.

SO, Now I like Spring. But only if I am following the Law, not pregnant, and Not living in Logan.
Summer is still the best.
But Spring isn't so bad.

Simpson Baby & Zion

Poor Jaxon. He fell out of his high chair and landed lip-first onto the edge of another chair. It was instantly swollen. It was so sad. He looked like Maggie Simpson.

and now for a happier event....

ZION!!

Zion in March is fabulous. Fabulous. It was 70+ degrees. At times we were sweating immensely. It was awesome. Things are still dead but give it a month or two. Perfect weather for hiking! We had a great time! Jax was willing to take on the the whole trail himself with no help from his parents. I don't know where the kid gets all his energy. His little legs must have been so tired, because he really did walk about half of it! He loved it!

I brought my tripod and figured out how to do that cool thing with waterfalls!! yay!

our BIG news.

No, I am NOT pregnant!!!

To add even more fun to that weekend, we FINALLY got our temple recommends.

And FINALLY....

after a 2 and a half years , we are going to the TEMPLE to be sealed together!

temple-p002
We are so excited! The date is finally official....I think. March 28th!!

Fun Weekend continued

After the Pizza Party on Saturday, we drove up to Cedar City to meet my parents! They went to watch the Richfield girls basketball team DEFEAT South Sevier at the State Tournament. My Uncle is the coach, and it was his first win ever. Pretty exciting! We agreed to drive up to give Grandma & Grandpa (& Uncle Trevor) a little time with their favorite grandkid (only grandkid!) We went to Park Discovery. It's an awesome park!

Grandma & Jax

Grandma & Grandpa

then we went to Iceberg & had icecream!
Jax was being so cute. He knows just how to get what he wants.

WHAT A FUN WEEKEND!!

Our Fun Weekend {part one}

It's usually weekends that I dread. That's when Andrew works 13 hour shifts 3 days in a row at the Distribution Center. But, eversince his temporary layoff, we have celebrated our weekends!! Just like the old days! Before work and responsibility, weekends were the greatest! Well, this weekend was pretty grand. Friday night, we went to eat and played games with a bunch of friends! It was fabulous. Saturday, we had a big Talbot Birthday Party at "Pirate Island Pizza". That was also fabulous. We had been wanting to go there. It's an AWESOME place. It's all decked out with pirate stuff. There's an arcade too. AND delicious buffalo chicken pizza! yum! It's the perfect place to have a little boys Birthday Party! We will remember that when Jax gets a little older. He's still a little too young to enjoy it. He wanted to run around and do all the big kid stuff, and of course doesn't quite understand when his horrible mother won't let him.

Here are about a bazillion pics ....

here's Jace.

I don't know why he's doing this face but it's pretty awesome.

Maddi & Jax

Happy family. Especially Andrew. Look at that face. If looks could kill....

Even Grandma & Grandpa played!

At least Jaxon is old enough to enjoy the pizza!

cute cousins. I just love this one.

Here we are trying to ease Jaxon's phobia of slides.

Of course we couldn't leave with getting cool pirate tatts.
We won them at the arcade. Even Jax got one. His first fake tattoo.

We also couldn't leave without getting Jax his new favoritet thing: a "bloon!"

THEN.....
to add to the days fun, we went and got a CAR WASH! Yes!
This was Jaxon's face during the car wash.

It's late & I'm going to bed. This post will have to be continued....
Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
