Finally, a place to call home.

Our own apartment!!
So, we finally found a place in St.George!!!! Our own place!! I know it doesn't look like much, and it's just an apartment, but it's our own place! No more living with parents! (Although we are thankful!) It's a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom and we get free cable. Pretty cool!! The big move will take place this friday. We have to go up and get all of our stuff which is still in logan. I am so happy to be going back to St. George, we love it there! We are still both looking for jobs. Andrew is looking for anything, and I am looking for a CNA job. Andrew will be going to school (hopefully) this semester to do some pre-reqs for the physical therapist assistant program which comes to Dixie next fall! Yay!!! So, that's our plan. I'm so glad to finally have one!
thanks to everyone who has helped us!! we appreciate it!

It's official, I'm old.

BIRTHDAY. HAPPY?
I am having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that I am 22. Wow, that's old. 21 was ok, but 22 is crossing the line.

That aside, today was a pretty good day. Andrew couldn't be here, that wasn't very cool. But I got a new shirt, purse, the book "breaking dawn" & swimming suit. My family took me to Wingers for dinner (yum) and I had some heavenly concrete pie. My brother Trevor made a chocolate cake for me. I got to shower, get ready, paint my toenails, and take a nap! Anyone who is a Mom can appreciate that!

I figured since I made a list about Andrew on his Birthday, I'll make one about me....

22 things about me:
  1. I have lived in more places than I can count on both my fingers and toes. Anywhere in Utah, you name it, I've lived there. My family moved a lot. Andrew & I are trying to carry on the same tradition. (not really though)
  2. I am supposed to be dead. When my mom was pregnant with me, she & my dad were in a bad plane crash. After that, I was in two car accidents as a baby, with no car seat. My Mom held onto my arm as the car rolled. We all came out untouched.
  3. I hate black socks. They are just plain nasty. I refuse to wear them and want to gag when I see others wearing them.
  4. I have a big freckle in my eye. It's heriditary. My Mom has some in her eyes, and my Grandma has tons in hers. Some people are a little freaked out by it.
  5. I love the smell of dishwasher detergent. The lemon kind. It smells so wonderful, I could eat it.
  6. I don't know how to blow my nose. I just can't.
  7. I am 5 feet and 3/4 inches. That's tall.
  8. I have no sisters. it really bothered me growing up, but now I am fine with it.
  9. I love to write. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. I still love to write poems.
  10. I play the guitar. Well, I did. I want to learn more someday.
  11. I love to sing. I sing all the time and I don't care who hears. I like to sing and play my guitar, but that I do alone.
  12. I hate the word plaza, via & skew. They are just terrible words that need to be taken out of this language.
  13. I love LOVE love taking pictures. I could do it all day. I want more than anything, a nice camera, and some people to pose.
  14. I don't like talking on the phone, or when people litter.
  15. I love to shop. This isn't unique because 99% of the girl population shares this same interest. But I like to bargain shop. I could go through thousands of clearance racks a day, and feel okay about it. When I am sick, tired, sad, mad, I just need a small dose of shopping, and I am cured for the time being.
  16. I hate the word "retard". It hurts my ears. The appropriate word would be "disabled". which brings me to the next one....
  17. I love working with people with disabilities. They are the cutest, purest, sweetest people in the world, and theres not a whole lot that makes me happier than making a difference in their lives.
  18. I am more like the man in the relationship. I am irresponsible, disorganized and impulsive. I also hate to cook. (I love you Andrew.)
  19. I usually have to take a bath every night. It's my way of calming down.
  20. I love scrapbooking or doing any kind of craft really. I love it so much that sometimes I forget to breathe.
  21. I am athletically challenged. If there is a ball involved, you can count me out. I lack the coordination and interest. I really don't like sports.
  22. I love the sun. And chocolate. And travelling.

okay, that's me....

Up in the night

Jaxon is starting this fun new thing called "stay up in the night for mom only." As you probably know, our living situation is a little crazy. Andrew is in St. George living with his parents and working. And Jax and I are in Richfield. We starting out living at my Grandma's house. Jax would do so horrible at night, keeping everyone in the house awake for long periods of time. So, we moved a block away to my parents house. We had to kick my brother Tanner out of his room, and sleep there. Everyone in my house sleeps with a very loud fan in their room, including me. So, his unnecessary nightly cries aren't a problem for anyone else....just me. Almost every night this week, he has gotten up in the night, and stayed up for sometimes 2 hours to cry and cry and cry. (Including tonight. It's 3:15 a.m.) I try to feed him, change him, rock him, pat him, sing to him, let him cry and NOTHING WORKS! I just have to wait it out until he decides its time to stop. It is so totally miserable. He did this when he was a newborn, which is quite typical, but now he is 9 months old. He should not be getting up 3+ times a night, or at all for that matter!! Instead of progressing, like most good little babies do, he is regressing...but only for me. I can say this because it is true. He went to stay in St. George for a few days. He did a lot better there, and even slept through the night some nights! And my mom watched him one night and he slept 11 hours straight! They did nothing different than what I do when I get him to sleep. I've tried it all: feeding him right before he goes to bed, putting him to bed early, putting him to bed late, trying to avoid naps...it goes on and on. It makes no sense, other than this: He has an inner strong hatred and goal to destroy his mothers life, OR something about the town of Richfield bothers him at night. Those are my only conclusions. Any other ideas, or advice will be well considered and very much appreciated.

Two Years!

The 5th was our 2nd Anniversary! WOW! We have been through so much together in 2 years. It is crazy...

Andrew is the BEST. I know he will probably eventually read this. He is still living is St. George and Jax & I are up in Richfield. It has been so hard to be without him. I didn't realize how much I really love him until I can't see him every day. He doesn't realize it, but he is WONDERFUL. He is such a great husband to me. He keeps me from falling apart. He does everything. He cooks and cleans a lot. He always helps out with Jaxon, even in the night, AND with poopy diapers. He is always the first to apologize. He is so smart and good at things. I am perfectly happy just to be with him only, and I don't really get sick of him. I love playing boggle with him and making up stupid songs together. We have such a blast together, even when we are doing nothing at all. He is polite and respectful to me and always tries his hardest to make me happy (And that isn't easy). I love how he doesn't yell or get upset too easy. I also like how he isn't picky or high maintenance. He evens me out. I'm so glad to have him in my life, and VERY luck to be married to him.

I LOVE YOU ANDREW!!

For our anniversary, we went to Tuacahn in St. George and saw Les Miserables. I loved the book, and the play was pretty good too, for being a play. It was a musical and they all had so much talent, it was amazing. Andrew was so great to sit through it with me. No, I really don't think he minded it. He is cool like that! Tuacahn is such an awesome place. If you haven't been, you NEED to. It's so beautiful with all the red rock surrounding it. We stayed in a condo WITHOUT Jaxon (thanks, Mom) and that was also SO SO SO great. (I love my child, but he still doesn't sleep much at night.) It was a great anniversary, I just wish I could have spent more time with Andrew. The reason there are no pictures of our Tuacahn adventures is because our camera is broken. We have wonderful luck with electronics. We took a disposable camera, but it's just not the same. But I did find some pics on the internet!

9 months

Jaxon is now 9 months! can you believe it?! He is quite the stinker bug. Here are some of the things he does now:

  • He can do "Patty cake" !! All you have to say is "can you patty cake?" and he will!

  • I swear he said his first word! "Fishy" He said it 3 times one day!

  • He gets around. I wouldn't really call it crawling, but it's a lot like it.

  • He likes to eat anything we eat. He knows now what the good stuff is. Now, he has a hard time drinking his bottle.

  • He still loves to read & swim.
  • He just got one more tooth on the top!

As for everything else....he STILL loves strangers. He's STILL very energetic and wants to be everywhere with everyone all the time. He STILL doesn't have the sleeping through the night thing figured out. I can't wait for when he finally does.

Here is his new cheese ball grin.....

Bear Lake

About a week ago my Family & I went to Bear Lake!!! It was A BLAST! Andrew was able to come with, so it was extra awesome for me. Bear Lake is beautiful. The water gets nice and almost warm in the summer. There are a lot of fun beaches with really shallow water to play in. We played volleyball, frisbee, and just swam around while soaking up the Utah/Idaho sun! Since it's so high altitude, you get double tan. (Or a double burn if you're andrew!) We proved that you don't have to have a buch of expensive toys to have fun! Although, someday I would love to go sailing.

Here's the stinky Jax on the drive up. He liked to chew on this wipe. I couldn't take it away, look at this face!

Water volleyball! See how shallow the water is! I'm not much of a sport person, but this was FUN!

My uncle Kevin and brother Trevor

I love this picture even though it is totally geeky!

My brother Tanner, and Jax on the beach!

Jax loved how the mud felt in his hands and toes.

Andrew pumping up our raft.

That night we played games. Here's Andrew looking especially hot.

pile on tanner!

The condo we stayed at had a telescope. The view was gorgeous.

the view from the balcony.

the sand castle we DIDN'T build.

Here is Trevor, Kevin, my Mom, and Maha. (She is a friend we invited with us, she is awesome!)

smelly bear loves the water!

This was on the wall at the condo. I love it.

Lonely

This week has been a lonely one. Well the last half of it has been. Andrew took Jaxon with him to St. George for like 5 days! He volunteered to do it, so I said go ahead! He does a lot of work at home, so he is able to watch him at the same time. At first I was so excited to do whatever I wanted whenever I felt like it. But it is the 3rd day now and I am going crazy! I miss my boys soooo much! Jaxon is having a fun time down there, though. Today they went to this water park and I guess he had a blast! (Our camera is broken, so no pictures :( ) Tonight, I went to the derby with my little brother, and it was just weird. It was like I was single and young again. It was like I was in High school all over again. It was the weirdest feeling ever. I am ready to go back to being a little family again!! I miss Jax sooooo much! This tuesday is our 2nd anniversary, and we are going to tuacahn (it's an outdoor theatre in st.george). I've never been, and I am soooo excited! We are going to see Les Miserables. Yay!! That's what I am looking forward to. Ok, I am really bored and that's all that's really going on!!
Relax. Be nice. Whatever.
